My fiance grows the most amazing tomatoes! This was the first few heirlooms that we pulled from the garden a few years ago. I put a bunch of them in a big red bowl, sat the bowl in a chair, and photographed it from above. I think the painting turned out well!

When I was 12 I read the book Life by the Numbers that talked about fractals in nature, and it was intoxicating to me. It taught me that patterns can be observed, noted, and used to make predictions in the natural world. Patterns reveal order in what seems like chaos.
