The hike to Delicate Arch (of Rand McNally road atlas fame) is super long and hot and we probably would've died if we tried to do it in July with our black lab, so we just took the easy lookout trail and saw this (still awesome) view.

When I was 12 I read the book Life by the Numbers that talked about fractals in nature, and it was intoxicating to me. It taught me that patterns can be observed, noted, and used to make predictions in the natural world. Patterns reveal order in what seems like chaos.
